Kenya day 29 - Birding Safari

I'd arranged with Jonathan to go for a day's birding along the road to the gate into Tsavo East - a stretch we'll need to do fairly quickly on Tuesday, but which has a lot of interesting birds. Jaap came along too - declaring it his day off - and Jonathan brought his son James to drive for us. We had the top of the safari van open and spent most of the day standing up and looking out over the top of the car.

Here are some of the birds we saw:

Eastern Chanting-Goshawk

Golden Pipit

Golden-bellied Starling

Hadada Ibis

Klaas's Cuckoo

Little Bee-eater

Long-tailed Fiscal

Northern White-crowned Shrike

Pin-tailed Whydah

Tsavo Sunbird

Von der Decken's Hornbill

Vulturine Guinea Fowl

White-bellied Go-away-bird

White-crested Helmet Shrike

White-headed Buffalo Weavers
There were some antelopes too:

Bush Buck

Gerenuk

Gerenuk and calf
